Oseem has opened his workshop in Norg, standing right beside Nolan. Bring him one of the 29 weapons that drop from Reisenjima notorious monsters, along with the right stones, and he will engrave it.
The important part: his work only ever goes forward. Once an augment is on your weapon, nothing you do at Oseem will make it smaller. There is exactly one dice roll in the whole system, and it happens on the very first stone.
Four lanes, four stones
Every weapon has four augment lanes. Each stone feeds exactly one lane, so what you farm decides what your weapon becomes.
| Lane | Stone | Where it drops |
|---|---|---|
| Melee | Pellucid Stone | Any Reisenjima mob, and frayed sacks |
| Magic | Fern Stone | Any Reisenjima mob, and frayed sacks |
| Healing | Taupe Stone | Any Reisenjima mob, and frayed sacks |
| Tank | Eschite Ore | Geas Fete bosses only |
Eschite Ore is the deliberate outlier. The other three stones fall from anything in Reisenjima, but the tank lane is paid for by killing the big Geas Fete bosses — Teles, Schah, Albumen and the rest — where it drops around half the time. It cannot be bought.
What each lane can roll

How a weapon grows
- Trade your weapon plus one stone. The lane rolls which of its augments you get — this is the only dice roll in the system — and it starts at +1.
- Keep feeding it stones of that type. Every single stone is +1, guaranteed. It never goes backward.
- Stacks work. Trade eight stones at once for +8. If you overshoot the cap, Oseem takes only what he needs and hands the rest straight back.
- Rolled something you did not want? Trade the weapon with exactly five stones of that lane's type and the lane is wiped clean, whatever depth it had reached. Your next stone rolls a fresh augment.
Because five is the erase number, it is the one quantity that does not grow a lane that already has something in it. If you want five points of growth, trade four and then one, or trade six for +6. An empty lane has nothing to erase, so five stones there simply grow it as normal.
A weapon can run all four lanes at once. A tank sword carrying a healing lane is a perfectly real build, and nothing stops you making one.
The gamble — Riftborn Boulder
Trade your weapon with a single Riftborn Boulder and Oseem engraves a random lane with a random augment at a random strength, anywhere up to its cap, instantly. It replaces whatever that lane was holding.
You get 12 of these per day, resetting at Japanese midnight. Boulders drop from Reisenjima's Ascended mobs, or you can buy them from Gorpa-Masorpa with Ambuscade hallmarks.
The sensible way to use them: gamble while your lanes are still empty, and farm stones once you have something worth protecting. A boulder that lands +28 has saved you a great deal of walking. A boulder thrown at a finished lane can undo an evening's work.
Worth knowing
- Oseem banks your stones — 100 Escha Silt each, held indefinitely, withdrawn whenever you want. Boulders are not bankable.
- Trade one weapon and one kind of payment per visit. Anything else in the window comes back untouched.
- Weapons you augmented before this update keep their old engravings. The boulder is how you bring them into the new system.
- His menu answers "How do I augment?" and "How do I erase?" at any time, so you never have to remember the rules from this page.
